Do Anti Aging Products Work?

Let’s face it: although some of us might not be willing to commit to living forever, no one wants to grow old and die. People will try whatever they think can help them stay at the peak of their health or regain lost youth, vigor and beauty. Anti aging products are about more than beauty, although beauty is part of it. But when you look at the whole range of health and beauty products as a whole, it paints a deeper picture. From anti wrinkle skin cream to chemical peels, cosmetic surgery, nutritional supplements and special diets, mankind is clearly on a quest for the fountain of youth, and has been for a long time.

Clearly, we have not found immortality yet, but we have made some remarkable strides. Anti wrinkle creams, Botox, face lifts and other cosmetic procedures can take years or even decades off of appearance. Nutritional supplements are taking on an increasingly scientific edge, and  many seem to really increase physical health and preserve youthful vitality. And, of course, there are the considerable strides modern science has made in treating diseases, advising us on the best diets and eliminating environmental hazards like poor sanitation which used to lead so many to early deaths. All in all, things are looking pretty good for those of us who want to stay young and beautiful forever.

The most important thing, however, isn’t which anti aging products you use, but how well you incorporate them into your lifestyle. Even the best moisturizing skin cream only works really well if you use it regularly as part of your daily routine. And anti aging supplements will only have their full effect when combined with good diet and exercise. Even if they eventually come up with anti aging products that really do completely stop aging, I’m sure you will have to use them correctly for them to work.

In other words, don’t dive in too fast. Start by picking a single anti aging product that really works with your lifestyle. Use it for at least a couple of weeks To get a feel how well it works for you, then try a few other antiaging products. If you begin by trying a zillion products at once, you’ll have no idea what works and what doesn’t, and might get frustrated and give up on all of them. Take your time and really do your research, and you may just find the secret to your own longevity, health and beauty.

Wool Rug Cleaning

Carpet cleaning can be a real mess if you do not know exactly what you are a doing and many people replace carpeting with area rugs, especially wool area rugs. Wool rug cleaning is actually a bit easier and a lot less messy than any other material and wool area rugs allowing you a great deal more flexibility than carpeting because it is much easier to move a rug and replace it with another style than it is to tear up and replace full carpeting.

Wool rugs are sturdier than carpeting and easier to clean. All rugs and carpets will gather spills, dirt, dust, oils of various types and many other problems. Most of them can be corrected by a simple vacuuming and doing this regularly will greatly increase the lifespan of the rug. If you vacuum has a beater bar this will make the job much easier and keep your carpet fresh without using soap and water. When you are engaging in wool rug cleaning you want to avoid the use of hard soaps, shampoos and water. Carpet shampoos can be hard on wool and this makes it not a good idea to not shampoo very often.

There will be times when wool rug cleaning has to use some type of cleaner, and again, using regular carpet shampoo and water is not a good idea with wool. This material should be steam cleaned. Do not use the cleaners included with a rental cleaner as these are made for primarily polyester carpets and will remain trapped in the wool and eventually degrade it. Rental cleaners do not generally steam clean either so you might find yourself hiring a professional. Fortunately this only needs to be done a couple times a year as wool resists a great deal of dirt and grime.
