Southwest Area Rugs – Unique Options For Every Home

Southwest area rugs are one the most elegant and stunning living room decor items, at present. These attractive handcrafted rugs are inspired by popular cultural aspects of the American Southwest. They reflect vibrant themes, colors and objects ranging from subtle desert hues to brilliantly colored designs that typify this region, making them exclusive additions for any appropriate space or place in your home.

Many people wrongly believe that if you’ve seen one Southwestern rug, you’ve seen them all. This is far from true because the variety of such rugs on offer include an amazing number of color schemes, different sizes, print styles and materials. These options are excellent examples to convince you about the extent of the overall range.

The designs of some Southwestern area rugs are influenced by Native American culture, demonstrated by their color scheme, while others feature more contemporary graphic prints and colors. The combination of earthy colors is incorporated in contemporary rug designs which symbolize Southwestern identity, but differ significantly from the Native American themes used in the other rug options.

Graphic or more realistic pictures of animals native to the United States’ Southwest region are extremely popular, among them bears, horses, snakes and wolves. Added to this, are other rug options that feature scenic desert backdrops, along with these or a number of other animals, which are also gaining in popularity.

Although more expensive, you can opt for exclusive, hand woven Southwestern-style area rugs, which are just as popular as the other rugs in the range. These rugs are generally made with unprocessed, natural materials giving them a very unique feel and appeal. As against the standard cotton and wool used to make other rugs, these rugs are made with natural materials such as bamboo, hemp and the barks of various trees.

If you aren’t the type of person who runs with the crowd, go in for Southwest area rugs, instead of run-of-the-mill options, and give your home an exclusive look.

Different Types of Wood Bar Stools

There are many different types of wooden bar stools out there.    Picking the right type of wooden bar stool can be difficult because of all the different styles, but there are also many different types of wood to choose from.  The best way to make sure you select the best stool for your home is to learn about different stools and pick the right one for you.

You should think about that type of stool would fit best with the rest of your home.  You could go with a traditional flat top stool if you are going to put it next to a kitchen counter or a home bar.  These are very nice and traditional wooden bar stools that can match almost any home décor.  For a splash of color you can add a colored cushion to the top of the chair which will add a break from the plain wood look.

For a more modern wooden bar stool, you can pick ones that have decorative backs and arms on them, and ones that can also swivel.  Picking one of these stools is going to make them more of the focal point in the room.  Often the bar or counter tops themselves draw the attention of people if you have traditional stools.  More modern stools are going to stand out a lot more, and the more decorative they are, the more attention they will draw.

Wooden bar stools should not come in a lot of different colors because wood is very rarely painted.   Instead it will be some type of natural color or stain.  Stains do vary from very dark to much lighter stains, but no matter what stain is used you want to make sure that the grain of the wood is not covered up.   Once you pick the right color stain and pair that with the right style of stool, all you have to do is look at things like size and you will be well on your way to picking the right stool for your home.

Marathon Industries Yard Rover Wheelbarrow

Caring for the yard can be a pleasant experience overall, but some jobs are just too messy to enjoy. Hauling around loads of dirt, rock or plant waste is no fun without the proper tools. For heavy material like this, even a large hand shovel can be laborious to use, requiring multiple trips between worksites to complete the job. Garden wheelbarrows allow people of all sizes to easily move heavy loads from place to place. Users fill up the bucket at the work site and then use the handles and wheels to move it around. Wheelbarrows with two wheels are easier and safer to use than the ones with a single wheel.

Marathon Industries has created a simplistic yet effective garden wheelbarrow for all-purpose use. The wheelbarrow has a large 5 plastic bucket with a five cubic foot capacity. The bucket is made from a material called polyurethane, a plastic that is resistant to chipping and scratching. Rough material like decorative rock can be loaded into this bucket without fear of damage. The bucket is designed to allow material to fall out in one spot when tipped over.

To dump a load, simply lift up on the two front handles. The wheels allow the bucket to rotate for dumping. Because the wheelbarrow has two wheels, the unit stays upright at all times. The wheels are pneumatic, meaning that they are filled with air. The rubber ties are treaded so they grip the ground firmly. Marathon Industries claims to have “flat free” tires which will never lose air from during normal use. The handle has been padded with textured rubber to give users a good grip. Unlike single wheeled wheelbarrows which can wobble from side to side, this one stays level even on uneven ground. This takes the stress off of the users shoulders and back.

Take a look at a garden trolley to supplement your wheelbarrow in the garden.
