Hypertension: Effects on the human body

Hypertension is widely known as high blood pressure which is actually a chronic medical condition whose cause is still unidentifiable. Many people who have this condition have the risk of going through strokes, heart failures, kidney failures and aneurysm.

The general study of this condition will be related to the blood pressure that is being released on the heart’s vessels and on the heartbeat itself of a person. It is called as the systolic blood pressure if it is the pressure that is being released on the vessels during a heartbeat. The diastolic blood pressure refers to the pressure between heartbeats.

Since the heart is the main blood pumper of the body, the purpose it serves is very important because without it, the blood and oxygen flow on the body would be minimal, thus the other organs can suffer if the heart cannot function well.

There are many side effects of hypertension. Either we can relate it to the condition of the person’s body or we can discuss about the effects of hypertension drugs. But it would be important to discuss both.

So first up is the condition of the human body that undergoes this type of state:

  • It is expected that the body may become weak. Due to the fact that blood flows may be affected, the circulation of the whole system is no longer normal.
  • As a result of the first one, we may need to exert more effort when it comes to exercising. We do not advise that you must go overboard. It is enough that your body will have to undergo a bit of regular stretching to release body toxins that affects hypertension.
  • There are more food limitations. Fatty foods are to be limited and most importantly, sugar intake. You also need to cut off unnecessary vices such as drinking and smoking. You need to keep watch of your weight because being overweight will not help your condition.

Second, we discuss the side effects of hypertension drugs. If there is a condition, thus it needs to be cured so many specialist will give you medications to prevent unwanted strokes and body failures. But the medications will usually give you the following:

  • Dizziness or headache is a common effect.
  • You can also experience heart burn or loss of appetite and fever.
  • There are medicines that are not applicable to pregnant women so you must inform your doctor to also protect the baby.

Not all medications will apply to everyone. It will always have a case to case basis. Also, having hypertension does not mean life and death but we advise that you always take precautions when it comes to your health. We can never take it for granted because once a life is lost, it can never be recovered.
