Exercising is Your Best Friend
There are lots of reasons why people gain weight, but the most important among all is poor eating habits, abusing of snack foods, or disappearance of natural and high-fiber foods from our diet. If there is one overwhelming, single reason why overweight is such a problem, it is because of lack of exercise. One life style change that would be most effective way to lose weight safely and keep it normalized, it would be to get more exercise.
It is not actually true that most people who are overweight eat too much. Some people eat too much. But most people who are overweight don’t. For most people, excess weight is the symptom of a lack of activity, not excessive food, but a deficiency of something just as important as vitamins. Many people, excess weight are most likely a result of too little activity and too much food, especially fat rich foods.
It is entirely possible to lose your extra weight with out getting any more exercise than you do now but it won’t be as safe as it could be. Exercise can help you lose weight more quickly, easily and healthfully. You do not have to worry if you have not gotten any exercise at all for decades. You can work into it slowly and you can make it as easy as you like. If you have not been getting any exercise, make it easy on yourself, very easy, until your body adapts to your new habits. But if you are already over 40 years old and you have never exercised, it might be wise to check with your doctor and possible even have a cardiac test before starting an exercise program.
Exercise is important as it burns calories. It also makes you feel better. The fact that only few people appreciate the real benefits from exercise is probably the reason why so many people simply choose to ignore it.
