The Cool New Afterglow Remotes for Wii

One of the newest Wii accessories that you can buy are the Wii afterglow remotes. These come in both the traditional remote as well as the nunchuks and are manufactured by a company called PDP or Performance Designed Products. They were released for sale on April 25, 2010 and have become a pretty popular product in a very short period of time. We’re going to take a look at some of the features that these new remotes have as well as some of the different colors that they come in.

The first thing that you may notice about these new remotes is how they look. They have a clear body that allows you to see all of the electronics on the inside of the device. They also have buttons located in different places from the original Wii remote and they have lights that help the remote to glow-in-the-dark. As far as the layout of the buttons there are some that are in different locations and some that are slightly altered for more comfortable use. The home button is located on the top right of the device close to the power button. This is typically located more in the center of the product and some people do not like were it has been moved to. The A and B buttons have been adjusted slightly and have more of a staggered appearance rather than straight up and down. This makes for more comfortable gaming when using the remote in standard mode.

The afterglow remotes come in three different colors. This includes blue, green, and red. They have different areas that can light up and if you turn all of the lights on you will be able to see the remote in the dark very easily. The colors are more of neon colors which adds a cool look to these products.

The majority of the reviews for the remote are good, but there are some negative reviews for the nunchuks. Some people have reported them sticking which would be a manufacturing defect which would make the device difficult to use. Many people are recommending that the remotes are okay to buy, but the nunchuks would probably be good to stay away from for now.

You now should have some good information about the Wii afterglow remotes to help give you an idea what they are and what they do. One of the best things is that they are about $10 cheaper than the official Wii brand products so if you’re looking for a remote and want to save some money then these could be a good way to go.
